The Start That Never Ends

It started as a dream
A simple moment in time
When one man noticed those without adequate insurance
Were being left behind
 
Though it required some commitment
And a team to share the vision
Rev. Arnold McKinney was diligent
And continued to do his Father’s business
 
In October of ‘94
A program planning grant was received
And in March of ‘95
McKinney Medical Center came to be
 
Shortly after this – in comes Ms. Ola Smith
 
She cultivated the vision
To help our community receive adequate health care
And twenty-three years later, the uninsured, underinsured, and insured rest
On McKinney’s shoulder’s to bare
 
McKinney holds the key to our patient’s unlocked goals and dreams
That’s why it is our duty to be the best and work as a team.
Becoming the leading preventive health care provider is the goal that we all share
So let’s remember to start each work day with Thanksgiving and even a little prayer.
 
McKinney started with one mans’ vision, but with team building, we can make sure the dream lives forever – The Start that Never Ends.
